;Hiking
Reunion is famous for its three cirques (Mafate, Cilaos and Salazie), three large calderas formed by the collapse of a shield volcano. Of the three, Mafate is inaccessible by roads, making it ideal for hikers wanting to enjoy the impressive nature in total solitude. There are several villages inside the Cirque de Mafate which are accessible only by trails (and helicopters). Reunion Mer et Montage organises guided hikes (including the one I did: a 3-hour hike into the Cirque de Mafate and a helicopter flight back to the coast) and other adventure activities like mountain biking around the island. Whichever route you choose, you’ll be guaranteed mind-blowing vistas, gushing rivers and waterfalls and lush forests.

Paragliding
Reunion Island is one of the most renowned places in the world for paragliding.
There are about fifteen runways in Reunion. But the runway in Colimaçons (St Leu) is one of the best suited for paragliding. The runway ends in a gentle slope, overlooking a cane field at 800 m altitude. A departure is also possible at 1500 m. A flight lasts between 15 and 25 minutes from the site of Colimaçons to the beach.
About fifteen structures offer practising this sport, either in the form of associations that gather autonomous pilots, or as a professional structure that allows outsiders to perform first flights or air students to take courses.

Scuba
Scuba is underwater swimming, or taking part in another activity, while using a together underwater. By carrying a source of breathing gas, scuba diving is able to stay underwater longer. Big game fishing, often referred to as fishing Sports at sea, fishing off the coast. Closest to the Dolphins, Catamaran, Blue Safari, Walking On Water Spend a day wonderful to discover our lagoons and wealth of aquatic life safely.

Canyoning
You can have an amazing canyoning experience down the Riviere de Roche from Bassin la Mer to the Bassin la Paix on the northeast coast near the town of St. Benoit. An old lava flow had been carved into a canyon by the river, with astonishing walls on each side, tranquil pools, followed by rapids and waterfalls. It was an incredible experience, jumping off the walls (some up to 12 meters high) into the pool below, tobogganing from one pool to the next or floating down the river.
